Awesome! I may be a bit biased having my buisness across the street from Fishtales for the last 7 years but that also means I know how Cathy Vassalo runs her buisness to a "T " ( being that I'm there almost everyday) First of all for all you "Foodies" out there like I am, you will be amazed to discover this affordable jem. Things that are a must, The seafood bucket filled with clams, mussels, shrimp and fish in a white wine or red sauce, The Mahi fish tacos, homemade lump crab and corn chowder and my favorite Cathy's homemade meatballs and sunday gravy. Besides the food there is live music every night with some of South Florida's most talented musicians. Last but not least besides having the best drink prices in town cathy and her staff couldn't be more accommodating or friendly. Come see for you self!

If I could rate this zero stars I would. The server was absolutely terrible actually told us to f**k off and shove it up our a**es. Enough said. Terrible dining experience.

The Bucket of Seafood ($18) is an incredible entree. Simmered in a white wine broth with warm oven baked half loaf. Mussels, clams, shrimps, market fresh whitefish. Heirloom tomato & mozzarella starter was great as well. Also, great live band starts on Sundays at 7pm!!

Went by on a Wednesday at 7pm, we made it before the end of happy hour which stops at 8pm. Very cool spot to have a nice bite to eat and a few drinks. They had a cool band playing and the crowd was lively. Our group pretty much ordered one of everything on the app menu. My faves were the Tuna Tartare, and the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna. Everything was good though. I definitely recommend this place.

For a good time rock n roll bar, with good food, great service, and outstanding music, it doesn't get any better than Fishtales! We are from New York, live in Washington DC, have lived in Southern California, Europe, and own a place here in Fort Lauderdale! This is our favorite place to go hang out, grab a few drinks, listen to music and socialize! Don't worry about a Groupon - the prices are reasonable. Seriously - if you want a great bar and restaurant that feels like a neighborhood place, but brings in top notch entertainment, and serves great portions of good food - check this place out. Guarantee you will love it!

This place has some good seafood but it is expensive. It also can be loud inside. The service is good. Ken

Awesome place to eat. Great ambience inside if not coming on Monday night football. The only evening they are not having live music. Food was great. Not a fan of raw fish but the Ahi Tuna Tatare was great and so all of our food. Big thumps up!

Not just a nightclub, this is an excellent lunch spot! Stop by with friends and enjoy the delicious fish tacos! The BBQ Duck Quesadilla was the best duck dish I and 5 others in my party had ever had. Crispy Calamari and the marinara sauce was excellent, Ahi Tuna Tatare; Yummy. Flatbread & Blackened Dolphin Tacos; Great! And don't miss the fish and chips, lots of seafood choices, and burgers too. A full bar, and frosty beers! Definitely stop by if your in the area, easy to get into, parking right out front.

We got "stuck" in South Florida at the end of a vacation and stumbled upon this place for fresh fish (something you don't get in Colorado). Great atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food! Very personal, friendly staff. I even got extra pickles! We'll definitely visit again next time we're avoiding a blizzard.

Fishtales is our favorite new Fort Lauderdale find. Debbie provides a wonderful, engaging dining experience. We tried it all. The ahi tuna appetizer, the bbq duck quesadilla, the beach bucket of seafood and the blackened dolphin tacos were excellent. 2 for 1 wine and well specials too. We'll be back soon. Ask for Debbie...you'll know immediately who she is.

This place rocks! The food is killer here... order anything off of the menu and you will be happy. The lunch menu has a lot of bang for the buck and the dinner menu is incredible! I've been there many times and have nothing but praise for the whole staff! Debbie is the BEST, she always takes care of everything and is very attentive. Definitely try Fishtales for lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong! The live music rocks at night, they have excellent bands and the acoustics are great inside. This place is awesome, go have a great time at Fishtales! ...and say hi to Debbie for me!

We went with the bucket of seafood which was recommended by other reviewers and we weren't disappointed. She recommended the white wine sauce and it was really delicious. Also have the calamari are in which was very generous portion. The server Debbie, was very attentive and she was also very friendly.

The food was amazing and Debbie, our waitress, was fantastic! We shared all our appetizers with no complaints. Had tuna tartare, goat cheese pizza, duck quesadilla, blackened fish tacos, seafood bucket, and finished with fried oreos! Definitely will go back and tell everyone we know about it. Only downside was the bar drinks seemed to be watered down.

If you haven't been here for awhile or ever for that matter... It's time! The whole place has been updated. Looks great. Service from Loriann was fantastic. Very hospitable and efficient. My favorite combination. The best surprise was the food. It was spectacular. We had a salad, the NY strip and the seafood bucket in the Thai curry sauce. WOW! I mean WOW! We are still drooling over it and there's nothing left. I may ask them to rap it up if I cants finish it lol. Well done Fishtails! Well done.

So stumbled, not really just figuratively, into Fishtales and right away this place has cheese written all over it (I haven't decided at this point if good cheese or bad cheese). It's early and yes the crowd is older, and they are having a "comedy hour". It wasn't good by any means, even with he owner holding up an "Applause" sign. But it was one of those pretty cool not good times. People were cool, and overall atmosphere was good. I did jump around the other bars on 33rd but would stop back in for laughs & a drink anytime. Live music was good. Couldn't get the rating to 3.5 but 3 isn't short changing them at all. Good place judge for yourself.

We don't like to eat out much anymore because what we make at home is so much better. The meal we had at Fishtales tonight was the best we've had in a long long time. Scallops special cooked to perfection, crab and corn soup to absolutely die for and the seafood bucket that just kept giving and giving! Debbie's service was friendly, efficient and spot on. Her recommendations couldn't have been better! If you are in Fort Lauderdale, add this to your list of stops! And the tab, pleasantly surprised!

Menu on Yelp different than what we were provided. Still good and service was good. Didn't stay for band but watched them set up. From looks of place more locals than tourist which was nice.

First time here. Beer selection is bad. The atmosphere is dive bar-like. The bartender was very nice, talkative and helpful. I had their burger which good. Their fries are excellent. I doubt I would go back to this place.

As far as dive bars go, I've found Fishtales to be a gem. The calamari and the fish tacos are excellent and so is the service. The inside isn't exactly the cleanest but not bad for a dive bar. What's more, I found "most" of the partons to be a fun loving, good cross section of locals as well as tourists. If smoking bothers you, there is always the outside. The only downside, and it is a big one, is that being there at certain times can be somewhat dangerous if not life threatening. I hate to have to mention this, since this problem is rather out of the ordinary for the place, but it would be totally remise of me not to. So, without my comment, elaboration or copywrite infringement on the Sun Sentinel, I think this snippet from the news best sums up what I mean. By Joe Cavaretta, Sun Sentinel 9:15 a.m. EDT, April 17, 2011 fl-fatl-stabbing-melee-20110417 Fort Lauderdale-- One person was reportedly killed and up to five others suffered stab wounds early Sunday after a melee erupted at Fishtales, a late-night restaurant and bar at 3355 NE 33rd Street. Update - 5/6/2011 I added this update as an edit in order preserve my prior review. After returning to Fishtales since the unfortunate knife fight and stabbing, I am now convinced that what happened was actually one of those weird, strange social anomalies and aberrations that happens all too often in South Florida. What took places seems to have started with an argument over a bar tab, then the stabbing of the drummer who was performing, then some of the assisting patrons. It's really one of those things that, unfortunately could happen anywhere, any place, and for which Fishtales is blameless

Great bar, great food, great staff. My wife and I stumbled upon this bar/restaurant and were pleasant surprised. The food was amazing. I had the mushroom burger while my wife had the fish tacos. Both were amazing; the burger was the best I've had in months. We sat outside and had some good convo with bartender and some local guests.

Went there 5/5/14 and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious. I had the caprese salad, it was incredible! My companion had ahi tuna and loved it ! We also split a angus cheeseburger ! Perfectly cooked with seasoned fries. They also offered during happy hour tacos in celebration of cinco de mayo . The staff was very nice . The one bartender LoriAnn was very attentive and Tom was funny. Am definitely going back ! I want to try the kareoke on Monday nights ! Lalala!!!!!

Ignore the bar atmosphere. This place, immediately east of Snooty La Dulce Vita, has excellent dining experience. Chef Jerry and our waitress Amanda presented culinary well prepared menu choices, as tasteful and designed as nearby more expensive places. My wife and I ate at SEA on Friday and Fish Tails the next night and clearly 1/2 the price for equal repast weighs in favor of this choice. John Combs, Edmond, Oklahoma

If you're looking for a bar that has great live music, but it's not as crazy-noisy or as crowded as Blue Jean Blues across the street, so you can talk with people, this is a great option. It's also a good night-starter/drink warm-ups option. :-) I went on a Friday night. They had a really good Blues/Motown trio playing. Kudos to the big Black blind guy playing the double keyboard: he's playing the bass line with one hand on one keyboard, and melody with the other hand on the other keyboard -- AND singing. That's called skill, son! Quite a character, too! ^_^ FYI... There's a tip jar on the floor of the stage for a reason. Don't be cheap, yo'! This is a drink you MUST have: Pearl Wedding Cake vodka & pineapple juice. AMAZING! You're welcome! :-) Bartender girl was nice. Tons of meter parking outside, and many places to eat and drink in that same little strip, which is convenient for barhopping.

A dive bar, has happy hour and amazing food. Try the Dolphin Reuben. It's Mahi Mahi on a butter toasted bread with swiss cheese, cole slaw (or saurkraut) and thousand island dressing. It comes served with fries and a pickle for about $12. Fantastic!

Great live music so you can jam with friends and great drink specials. They also run great specials, and the staff is very friendly. Great local place to relax with a group or by yourself and enjoy some music and great food.

Great place! The fish fingers are always excellent (Grouper or Mahi). Great place to chill at the outside bar which is tiny but fine if you want to just stop in for a quick bite and a drink, this place has a great vibe, and pretty good live bands.

A dive bar from heaven! It had the best fish tacos I have ever eaten. No joke. Ever. And everyone that was with me that night believes in that magic. And the service was phenomenal! Let me tell you how it went down... THE CATALYST: When I was out in Ft. Lauderdale working on another season of "Real Housewives", my producer told our crew about this incredible dive bar called "Fish Tales". She said it had the craziest people in there and dirt cheap everything. She practically lived here for a month earlier that year. So we decided after we finished shooting that night to come on over. THE STORY: We finished shooting late. Like close to midnight, so we were already tired. Tired as hell and tomorrow was going to be an early call. But we decided to go out and have some fun while we were here. So, we hopped in a cab and drove the few miles over. Now the music could be heard throughout the streets. Unlike the fancy club/bars that surrounded our hotel, Fish Tales was in a small street of it's own. As we approached the outside of the bar, there was a surly man in a Hawaiian shirt and Tom Selleck mustache walking every which way. When we were pulling up on the curb, the taxi almost hit the guy! We thought he was just some drunk, but he turned out to be our server! And a great server he proved to be. We sat outside and decided to order some rounds of beer and some food, since we worked so late. My producer suggested the fish tacos and we all decided to try some. THE FOOD: 5 stars Honestly, HONESTLY, ridiculously amazing tacos! I don't know if it was because we weren't expecting this or what not, but it was the best damn fish tacos I've ever had. It was Cajun spiced, with super moist and juicy seared fish. The toppings perfectly melded with the fish and created a flavor palate I've yet to experience in any other fish taco. We all savored it. The sides that came with it were also delicious, but nothing compares to the tacos. It was so nice we came back the night after to try it again, and once again, incredible. Absolutely insatiably incredible. THE SERVICE: 5 stars The place was awesome. The first night, our surly server was more then generous with providing us with our poison. He often times lost count of our tab and simply gave us free beer. He also tried to kiss my producer once or twice throughout the night and that was hilarious. We came here the next night with our second crew. They were more into clubbing so they didn't vibe with the dive bar scene and were in a skunky mood for the first few hours. They left shortly after that, but my crew and I had great fun. The second time we had a female server and she was crazy. She was drinking with us, giving us free drinks, and just overall good conversation. Even the owner came out to drink with us and give us specials on the house. At the end, when we paid and left a large tip for our server, she was so thankful that she ended up offering one of us a lap dance. I won't say who, but somebody who was the youngest and shy ended up with it. Please no paparazzi! CONCLUSION: This place is out of control. Everyone who works here is a character and so are the people who patron it (I saw a midget, a baby, and a man trying to sell our crew a book). It obviously isn't for people who enjoy clubs and looking for "love", but this place is a great place to drink, go nuts, and eat amazing fish tacos.

So I went here for lunch and drinks on Sunday because I was looking for a new place that has NFL ticket. It was most definitely a hole in the wall. The service was really good I sat at a table but the bartender waited on us. The wings were delicious. We almost left to have lunch elsewhere because the wings took too long to come out, but they were so good we decided to stay. My fiance has the dolphin reuben which was soooo good. I had the fish tacos because I read so many good reviews about them. Well they sucked they were the worst I've ever had. The mahi was so hard it was like an over cooked piece of chicken, just hard as a rock. The salsa was not fresh, it was pretty nasty honestly. Oh and the tortilla (flour) was stale. So overall DO NOT ORDER THE FISH TACOS all those other reviewers tricked me!!! They were dreadful.

Sammy B hit the nail on the head with this slightly off the beaten path gem. Visited a week ago before going on a cruise the following day. It was a quiet Sunday night around 9. Me and my friend pulled up to the bar and got started. The drinks were very good. My first cocktail required OJ which was FRESH SQUEEZED TO ORDER and that made all the difference in the world! The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We first ordered a fried shrimp appetizer with a sweet chili dipping sauce. They were so good that I was eating the entire shrimp including the tail with a bit of shell still attached! I ordered the fish tacos and they were truly great. The fish was flaky and well seasoned, but not over-seasoned. These were the best fish tacos I had on my trip including the ones I had in Mexico. My friend loved his food too, although what he ordered escapes me at the moment. The owner/chef then came out to ask how everything was. She said she's owned the place for the past 2 years and she loves what she does. That really showed in the food. All in all a great no frills place that I would recommend to anyone. Great job, guys!!

Friendly people like Claudia at the outside bar! I had the Tuna Nachos and was amazed. I could only eat half of it before I was full.

  • Brian B.

I'm being generous on this 3 because my experience was a 2. The service happened to be terrible because there was only 1 waitress for the entire place so she was very overwhelmed. But I won't fault the restaurant/bar for that. Food wise was pretty good. I had the fish tacos which were pretty good. Even though the fish was fried it tasted fresh and wasn't greasy. The portion was big too. I wouldn't go out of my way to try the place again but if you're in the area the food is good and it's not expensive. I like dive bars and this place definitely qualifies as one. Good but not great sums it up.

At first glance this place looks like any other dive bar, the scant few tables are usually strewn about haphazardly, some are rickety and I'm not even sure if all the chairs match. Most nights the televisions are on too loud and we prefer to sit outside because the smoky atmosphere inside can be a little unpleasant. To be perfectly honest we actually turned around and left the first time we ever walked in to Fishtales. Are you scared yet? Well, I also have to be honest and tell you that we've been back several times lately for some excellent food. Yes, it's a dive bar and the place could dearly use some cleaning up but whoever they've got running the kitchen is dishing out some great stuff! Really, the only reason we went back in the first place was because a friend raved about the burgers. This particular friend loves burgers and has eaten them all over town so I took his opinion seriously and went back with him to give it a try. The 1/2 Lb. Cheeseburger with Bleu Cheese was flavorful, juicy, spiced and cooked to utter perfection. I even gobbled up every one of the generous serving of fries, AND the pickle. I never do that! Truly, I've been a little depressed about Alligator Alley closing so the timing of our introduction to Fishtales could not have been better. I have since tried the Dolphin Rueben, the Caesar Chicken Wrap, and even the Sausage & Pepper Sub they were selling outside during a Street Party; all were very good with perfectly prepared meats and generous servings. It is obvious that the cook at Fishtales not only knows what he's doing, but like other dive bar cooks I have had the pleasure of knowing, he takes pride in his work. Overlook your first impressions and give this joint a try. You will not be disappointed!

We came, we saw, we left. This place doesn't quite fit the description Yelped by others. We figured we would give it the benefit of the doubt, despite the negative vibe. There were six people lunching at the bar; the tables were patron less. We waited and approximate seven minutes for the bar tender/server to bring menus. You can't help but wonder how the kitchen looks given the menus: paper with an outer plastic cover were wrinkled, water stained and looked as though they should have been replaced months ago. We asked for water and though it was served promptly, the server herself never returned to the table. She was training the only other visible person working here how to empty ash trays, in between conversing with those at the bar. After waiting nearly fifteen minutes for her return to our table to take our order, the read became your business here isn't wanted, so we got up and walked out. This place comes across as a bar more than the restaurant described on Yelp. They post specials on the table, however, you can only get them at the advertised price if they are ordered with an alcoholic beverage. I'm not sure what happens if you don't want to drink an alcoholic beverage at lunch-you negotiate? Sounds like a concept that's as bad as the service.

I was dragged out of my Netflix coma this past weekend and taken to Fishtales. While the dude I was with was questionable the amount of alcohol in my drink was NOT. Strong drinks and a loud cover band inside. Everyone was very friendly; patrons and employees both. Drinks were a little pricey and the crowd was pretty much all old people on motorcycles (which necessarily isn't a bad thing) I had a lot of fun. Probably would have been better in a big group.

Kuddos to the remodel! We loved the new decor. Great new high top seating now. We always enjoy the scene at Fishtales. The food is good, drinks are good and prices are right. The entertainment is great. We enjoy dancing and look for a large enough dance floor to move on which Fishtales has. The Fort Lauderdale scene is entertaining and spending time down there is always fun. If ever in Fort Lauderdale check them out!

Holy Lobster Ravioli!! Food is delish wine was great! There was a live band that sounded awesome and the atmosphere was very diverse. People dressed up, people dressed down. Older crowed mixed perfectly with a younger crowd. The best part was, that I believe, the owners were on site. I saw them helping people sitting outside find chairs, clearing tables, taking drink orders and over all just assisting with all the patrons. Everyone working here all helped each other to insure the guest got the best service. Love that! We eat out all the time and will defiantly be back!!! Outstanding service.... And I never leave reviews!

Have been here several times and it's always top notch! We have family in town and they asked about where to grab a bite and catch some live music. Fishtales was the first place that came to mind. The owner, Cathy recognized us right away and was quit to say hello and take our drink order. She's awesome and always makes us feel welcome. Tom took over as our waiter and the awesomeness continued. Very attentive and pleasant every time. The food is amazing every time. The Ahi Tuna is the best I've ever had (and I'm a bit of a tuna snob). The flatbread pizza was delicious. A band called Soul Kiss started at 10 and they were excellent. I wish I could give more stars. If you haven't been to Fishtales, you're missing out on a fantastic place, great food, superb service, and some of the best bands that south Florida has to offer! You're welcome!

Interesting place. The food was surprisingly good, so disregard the lounge feel. I had the fish n chips and my friend devoured her bucket of seafood. Generous portions and tasty. There is a $20 for $40 Amazon Local groupon out there. A great deal considering the food quality. There is also a check-in offer good for a free glass of wine with entree purchase. For entertainment, there are impersanator acts like Barry Manilow on Mondays. On weekends there is entertainment as well catered to an older crowd. However, the food should be considered the main attraction.

If you want to experience first rate service get over to the Fishtale Restaurant and Nightclub and just watch Debbie in action. She has a rhythm that keeps her moving, while keeping an eye on all her customers, acting just before they will call her for something. From the moment you enter, and she tells you to sit where you want and waits for you to decide, to saying goodbye when you leave she does everything right. You won't have to ask for any drink refills, she will suggest the best items, tell you about all the entertainment they have in the evenings, bring you more bread just as you dunk your last slice into the wine/garlic/oil fluid of your bucket of seafood. She has a sense of humor, knows the menu, treats each of her customers as special people and seems to love her job! Fishtales Restaurant and Nightclub is more than just Debbie though she is a very important part of the whole ambiance. There are bright neon fish and a mermaid around the room, not to forget that must in every restaurant these day television sets of various sizes. The bar has a eye-catching color scheme, the outside dining area is inviting--but not to me in Florida's feel like 100 degree temperatures. There is a beautiful white (fake) flower display as you enter and each table has an orchid like decoration. The tables are attractively set and I must admit I loved their salt and pepper shakers! Let's talk about food. Both Allen and I ordered the 'Beach Bucket of Seafood' ($18 each)) one in their white wine sauce and the other in a marinara sauce. Both sauces were excellent and the three slices of thick toasted bread are great for dipping in either sauce. (Yes, Debbie will bring you more if you want.) The buckets consisted of Ipswich clams, littleneck clams, chunks of Dolphin and mussels all having their distinct taste and benefited by the sauce they were in. Allen had his diet coke ($2) and I had coffee ($2.50) The only complaint--and I don't know if they have them--would be to serve bibs with this dish (Allen's yellow shirt had a Picasso design of red sauce!) and wet naps when finished. Also a minor complaint--I am sure it was the manager--maybe owner?--who was walking around trying to decide where to hang draping and if it was she should have taken a moment to say hello. (The again she probably has enough confidence in Debbie to know she didn't have to worry about a thing!) We had a groupon and the total check with tax and tip (25% on original bill) came to $22.66. It was without a doubt one of the best 'deals' we have had in a restaurant in a long time and even without the groupon Debbie would have made the whole experience a winning one. I am sure if I had mentioned it was his birthday she would have made a big deal out of it--and he would have killed me! The dining room is impressive at lunch time but I have a feeling it is whimsical, bright and, possibly, magical at night and I can see entertainers enjoying themselves while performing. Thanks Fishtales, thanks groupon but most of all thanks Debbie! SLIDESHOW youtube.com/watch?v=Bft2…

I took my girlfriend here for date night. We loved both our entrees. Excellent service...good beer selection. I would definitely recommend seafood in a bucket with the white wine sauce. Couldn't stop dipping bread into the sauce. They also had a cover band playing on a Wednesday night. They rocked!! We will definitely be back!!

Very cute place. The band was awesome! The seating is comfy. I ordered the wedge steak salad expecting just small bites of steak but it came out with about a 5oz filet. The portions were perfect. And the meal was tasty! Our waitress was nice not very interactive but nice. We were the only Afirican Americans in the restaurant which is fine with us but a little uncomfortable at first.

Only reason I'm not dropping a five star is for choice of news on. Food and service here is always amazing! Would choose to continue eating and drinking here with friends minus depressing Fox News chatter... Used to bar bills being more than food costs but it's a bit overly over priced here for a few beers sadly dropping to 3 from 4

Found this place threw Yelp and only to find out its minutes from my home. Lucky for us it was happy hour and everything was 50% off.....Curry Mussels were so good we ordered a second one. Calamari was good as well and the bucket of seafood was just to much....can't wait to bring my wife here.

So we went on a Groupn offer tonight.... Fishtales is a little eccentric stop off the beaten path near the beach. It was 6pm and only a few tables where taken when we arrived. The server, Tom, was very nice but poor guy was the only one serving the entire indoors. Seems he was also bartender. For these reasons service was slow. Of course, it only got worse as the night wore on. When the band went on stage -great live music by the way-service all but came to a halt. We sat with dirty plates for a while then we sat with no drinks for a longer while and finally another server who wasn't a server really came to see if we needed anything. I think she was sent by the guy in long sleeves behind the bar who spent the latter part of our visit just observing the growing crowd with a smug smile. We were finally given a check minus the Groupon amount then Tom came back and said he forgot to add the second beer to the tab my boyfriend ordered. What? It always seems when you are done being somewhere is when service slows to a snail pace. We couldn't wait to get out of there. What started out as a nice experience went to shit after 30 minutes. The food was good. Nothing to rave about but at least tasty. We had the tempura fish appetizer, blackened grouper, and fish and chips. It was all just ok. Again I can't really complain considering Tom was the only guy working some 12 tables and the bar alone but, sheesh. The flood of regular patrons came rolling in about 30 minutes before the band. You know it's going to be busy. Schedule staff accordingly, y'all!

This place is the best advertisement ever for La Dolce Vita 3 doors down. It's that bad. We decided to try Fishtales last night- made a reservation on Open Table. Got there and waited and waited at the little stand by the front door. Finally after 5 mins we asked a server who could seat us and she pointed to a tall beefy blond woman at the back of the restaurant behind the bar. The woman couldn't find our reservation (really no need for one as the place had omen of empty tables). This was after there called us 30 minutes before we got there. Long story short after we got menus and waited and waited we finally just left- never even got water so we walked 3 doors down and found one of the best Italian restaurants ever- La Dolce Vita- so thanks Fishtales- you turned us on to a restaurant that does what you apparently can't - serve food in a friendly manner that is excellent.

First time here and loved it. Cozy atmosphere and live music. Our group had two of the homemade soups which were yummy. We also had caprese salad which was fresh and very tasty. Entrees were shrimp risotto which was super creamy and very flavorful. Coupled with a nice glass, it was all in all a great night. Will definitely be coming back again. Ask for Allison-she was a great server with lots of good recommendations.

We went with the bucket of seafood which was recommended by other reviewers and we weren't disappointed. She recommended the white wine sauce and it was really delicious. Also have the calamari are in which was very generous portion. The server Debbie, was very attentive and she was also very friendly.

Menu on Yelp different than what we were provided. Still good and service was good. Didn't stay for band but watched them set up. From looks of place more locals than tourist which was nice.

Great place! The fish fingers are always excellent (Grouper or Mahi). Great place to chill at the outside bar which is tiny but fine if you want to just stop in for a quick bite and a drink, this place has a great vibe, and pretty good live bands.

Fantastic!

Well done.

Great bar, great food, great staff. My wife and I stumbled upon this bar/restaurant and were pleasant surprised. The food was amazing. I had the mushroom burger while my wife had the fish tacos. Lalala!!!!!

Fishtales is our favorite new Fort Lauderdale find. Debbie provides a wonderful, engaging dining experience. We tried it all. My review is about the service and attendance, we didn't try the food. We arrived promptly at our reservation time, no one at the door and the bartenders looked at us like we're from a different planet. Finally the waitress passed by and WE asked her where can we check in, "at the back of the bar" was the answer. We sat down, waited 13 minutes for the waitress to come back the 2nd time and ask us what we want to drink. No Mojito!!! How in heck a place in FL doesn't offer Mojitos?! Overall, not impressed at all! I don't understand the rave reviews about this place! Maybe we came at a bad night/shift/crew.

Extremely dissatisfied. Horrible experience, the waiter was absolutely awful and rude and the manager let it all happen. Their system was down so they tried to swipe our card on a personal phone, not ok. When we refused the waiter caused a scene, even though I offered cash with no gratuity. Dont waste your money here, trashy staff all around. Food was bad as well. One star is generous.

I stopped in for a groupon lunch and was impressed from the moment the waiter came over. The service was prompt and the waiter was courteous and funny. The food was also quite incredible. My friend had the Swiss mushroom and I had the fish and chips. Both meals were tasty and filling. The delicious partridge in a pear tree cocktail topped it all off. I certainly recommend!
